MITMUNK is a small Vancouver-based design studio run by Wayne Elliott and Heather Joan Tam, specializing in printed clothing and handmade 1" buttons. Wayne is an artist with a background in sculpture. As founder of and designer for MITMUNK, he brings his love for striking, experimental street fashion into his artwork for Mitmunk's printed leggings and shirts. Heather is an interdisciplinary artist and a curator at a community museum.

We love vintage illustrations, etchings, lithographs, serigraphs; the way ink sits on paper; blacks and grays and whites. You'll find these elements in our designs, which are inspired by and use images from historic, public domain printed matter.

The Mitmunk family also includes THE BUTTON BROTHERS, two boys who run a button machine rental service.
