Bone Loss

One of the main consequences of missing teeth for oral health is bone loss. Teeth always allow tears to food, bite and chew food that helps the bone to be healthy. If you do not treat your missing teeth, you may notice that the jawbone will deteriorate with time.

You may have many options to get the treatment for your missing teeth. You can go for the dental implant, but if you are not a candidate for this treatment, consider the removable partial dentures that can help you replace the missing teeth with new ones. If you want to prevent bone loss, you need to get treatment for the missing teeth; otherwise, you can face major consequences in bad oral health.

Tooth Decay

the next problem related to missing teeth is tooth decay. When you have missing teeth in your mouth., you will not be able to brush and floss your teeth. It can cause the formation of plaque inside your mouth, leading to gum diseases, tooth decay, and tooth loss.

It is impossible to remove plaque formation even if you can get dental aids and an electric toothbrush. You have to make a schedule of visits to the dental hygienist to improve the condition of your teeth. Hence, if you leave the missing teeth untreated, you can face tooth decay.

Chronic Headaches

Another problem related to the missing teeth is the chronic headache. You need to know that the temporomandibular joints are connected to the skull, which helps chewing food. When you have missing teeth, the pattern of chewing or eating food will be changed and cause a chain reaction in your mouth.

It can lead to headaches and also cause gum disease that results in the loss of more teeth. Many other problems related to the TMJ include the popping and earache. Hence, missing teeth can harm oral health by increasing chronic headaches.

Loss of Confidence

The missing teeth can cause you to lose your confidence by degrading your personality in front of people. If you have whitened, complete, and straightened teeth, you can smile and speak before people without any hesitation. On the other hand, missing teeth cannot allow you to smile in front of people because you feel ashamed about it.

Missing teeth also cause a change of speech patterns that can further lose your confidence. You need to get the treatment for the missing teeth if you want to build your confidence. Otherwise, it can harm your overall personality.
