Nzingha Shakur was born on Ma 16 1981 in New York. She is the daughter of Mutulu Shakur and Makini Shakur and in 1980 when her father Mutulu was arrested, her mother moved the family to Texas. She went to McMurry University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2003. Nzingha’s father Mutulu Shakur has four children, Sekiywa, Chinua, Mopreme, and Nzingha.

Tupac was an actor, rapper, and influential leader in the Black Panther and Civil Rights movement, leaving an indelible imprint on American and world culture protesting injustices. His mother Afeni Shakur was a political activist and a member of the black panther party, inspiring him to join the political activism. Her influence was always felt in his interviews and music. His father Mutulu Shakur was also a member of the Black Liberation Army and an American activist but is serving a 60-year sentence for robbing a Brinks armored truck in 1981 that led to the death of two police officers and a guard. His mother moved him to San Francisco and the environment contributed to his unique sound, introspective lyrics, and political opinions.
Tupac ventured into his acting skills and was featured in films like Above the Rim, Bullet, Juice, and Poetic Justice which was his most successful role. His lyrics spoke about societal issues of violence, race, unjust laws, police brutality, and drugs in black and low-class neighborhoods. He sold over 75 million records. Mopreme Shakur popularly known as Wycked founded the hip hop group Thug Life with Tupac and is a member of Outlawz. He has been featured on the single Feels Good with Tony Toni Tone.
