Electric cars have grown in popularity in recent years due to their reliability and capacity to lessen reliance on fossil fuels. For example, more car enthusiasts are becoming interested in used electric vehicles for sale today. This provides ample opportunity for affordable and eco-friendly transportation options.

The vehicle’s range, or how far it can drive on a single charge, is one of the key concerns for potential EV customers. At the same time, some car enthusiasts neglect the choice of an electric car as a beneficial and eco-friendly solution. This is precisely because of the fear that it will be necessary to charge constantly, that the EV won’t drive far, and that the charge will run out suddenly. To dispel doubts, let’s take a look at some of the most powerful EVs on the market today that have the largest range.

GAC Aion LX

The premium flagship crossover from the Chinese company GAC boasts an impressive electric power reserve without the need for recharging. The electric car is offered in three configurations, providing a range of 370 to 400 miles (600 to 650 km), with prices ranging from $45,000 to $65,000. Additionally, a top-tier version is available for $71,000, capable of traveling over 620 miles (more than 1,000 km) without recharging—making it the world’s first electric car with such an extended range.

To enhance its self-driving capabilities, the car features three laser rangefinders from RoboSense, visibly placed on the roof and front wings. In urban conditions, the GAC Aion LX can autonomously change lanes, navigate through traffic lights, and perform necessary turns. In addition, the car’s dashboard includes a spacious 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Zeekr 001

Zeekr is a brand under the ownership of the Chinese company Geely Automotive, joining the ranks of Volvo, Lotus, Polestar, and many others. Its sporty appearance is complemented by high performance, excellent dynamics, and cutting-edge on-board systems. Zeekr 001 holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest electric car in drift, with an impressive top speed of 120 mph (200 km/h).

Even in its smallest configuration, the Zeekr 001 boasts an enviable set of characteristics that surpass those of many other brands. The WE (single motor) model features a 200 kW (272 hp) engine, acceleration to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds, rear-wheel drive, a 100 kWh battery, and an impressive range of 450 miles (around 732 km). The all-wheel-drive configurations are more powerful and equipped with two 400 kW (544 hp) engines, accelerating to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds. However, they have a slightly shorter range of up to 400 miles (650 km).

Tesla Model 3

The Model 3 remains a top choice due to its relatively affordable price, impressive range, and high performance, keeping it competitive in the electric car market alongside new offerings like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and Polestar 2. While the base model with rear-wheel drive offers good value for money, it has a shorter range of 345 miles (556 km) on the NEDC cycle, which may be insufficient for some drivers. We recommend the Performance model, which provides an extended 420 miles (675 km) of driving on a single charge.

All Model 3s come standard with heated front seats, navigation, and Tesla’s Autopilot semi-autonomous driving system. It’s essential to note that the Tesla interior is highly minimalist and straightforward. Many traditional mechanical features have been replaced with high-tech alternatives. For instance, the interior door handles are electronically operated, with a mechanical handle reserved for emergencies.

Nissan Ariya

This EV has made a bold entry into the electric vehicle category, building on the success of the Leaf, which has been a mainstay for over a decade with over half a million units sold. However, the Ariya marks a significant advancement from the Leaf. Unlike its predecessor, this car model features liquid-cooled batteries, enabling much faster charging without the risk of overheating.

The Ariya offers the choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive, both equipped with a 90 kWh battery. Front-wheel drive models deliver 242 hp, while all-wheel drive models boast a more powerful 435 hp. In terms of range, the front-wheel drive models can cover an impressive 385 miles (623 km), slightly exceeding the 350 miles (560 km) range of the all-wheel drive models.

Beyond its impressive performance, the Nissan Ariya stands out as one of the most aesthetically pleasing electric SUVs. Its design includes a striking front grille, a gracefully sloping roofline, and stylish taillights. The option of a contrasting roof in a different color adds a nice touch. The interior is equally stylish, featuring clean lines on the dashboard, two large digital displays, and a selection of high-quality materials. The clever movable dashboard, adjustable at the touch of a button, maximizes passenger space on board. For those deciding on a well-equipped, luxurious electric family SUV, the Nissan Ariya is a compelling option worth considering.

Summing Up

Electric transport is developing rapidly. As a result, most new electric cars can travel 500 km without recharging. Manufacturers of EVs are constantly striving to meet the customer’s demand for more reliable and powerful electric cars. These are massive races, the leadership of which is significant for companies. It’s exciting to see the way of EV industry is constantly developing today, so buckle up and keep abreast of the electric transportation future.
