Lynn Markworth’s Mother
Lynn Markworth’s mother was Betty Sue Lynn, the eldest of the six children of the famous country music legend Loretta Lynn. Bettey was close with her mother, Loretta Lynn, and she used to chip in to help her mother run her business affairs.
Betty Sue Lynn helped sort and respond to her mother’s fans’ letters, and in the 1960s, she wrote some songs for her mother. Among the songs Lynn Markworth’s mother wrote is The Home You’Re Tearin’ Down, Before I’m Over You, and Wine, Women, and Song.
Unfortunately, Lynn Markworth lost her mother on July 29, 2013, near her grandmother’s home in Hurricane Hills. According to the report issued by her family, she died at 64 years due to emphysema.

Loretta Lynn, the famous country music star, is Lynn Mackworth’s grandmother. Lynn’s grandmother was born in Kentucky on April 14, 1932, as Loretta Webb to her mother, Clara Marie, and her father, Melvin Theodore.
Lorretta was the second born in her family out of eight children. It seems the early life of Loretta was hard as his father was a farmer and worked as a coal miner. At fifteen, Lynn Markworth’s grandmother married Oliver Vanetta, whom she had dated for one month.
Loretta and her husband moved to Custer from Kentucky, and she was lucky to get a guitar from her husband in 1953. She was pregnant with her first child and decided to teach herself to play the guitar. She loved playing guitar and soon formed her band after learning to play the guitar.
After Loretta formed her band, she started playing music in local venues in Washington. In 1960, she was lucky to record her first song named I’m a Honky Tonk Girl with Hollywood after the founder of Zero Records heard about her talent.
Loretta signed a contract with Zero and soon recorded her first album. After the album launch, she started travelling to various parts of the country singing and hoping her music would be noticed on the charts and billboards. By the end of 1960, Loretta appeared in Billboard magazine’s list of promising country female artists.
The following decades were the best for Loretta and she got her breakthrough by being recognized as the best female musician in her country. She took advantage and released several albums and singles, which got sold successfully.
Lynn Markworth’s grandmother also collaborated with other famous artists like Conway Twitty, and their releases were ranked consecutively from 1971 to 1975.
Lynn Markworth’s grandmother and her husband were blessed with six children, but unfortunately, their son Jack died at 34 years. Also, Lynn Markworth’s mother’s death made Loretta lose her second child.
