It is essential to attract potential buyers and maximise the value of your home even if you are not selling it for now. In fact, if you just wait for the right moment, you can get a great deal without expecting it. All you have to do is to maximise the full potential of your home.

  • Keeping the pool area well-maintained

Enhancing the look of your home

You can achieve this by maintaining the landscaping, painting the front door, and ensuring walkways are clean. Moreover, you may add attractive outdoor lighting to enhance the appeal of your property. If possible, you can remove any excess furniture and personal items so that your home may feel more spacious.

If possible, make a few enhancements on the kitchen and bathroom to influence potential buyers. Pay attention to the fixtures, countertops, and cabinets. Modernising them will really make a difference in the way they look and feel, as they contribute to the overall charm of your house.

Making your home energy efficient

Improving the energy efficiency of your house will also be a good factor when you ought to sell your home in the future. You can also add insulation to the door and windows or install energy-efficient lighting to get started. This will surely help the environment and make it more appealing to potential buyers.

Another thing is to improve the lighting around the pool and pathways to improve visibility at night. You can also reduce the risk of accidents using motion-activated lights for an energy-efficient option to keep surrounding areas safe after dark. In addition to a pool fencing strategy that you can install around the pool area, installing energy-efficient lighting can greatly complement this project as well.

The use of landscaping techniques can greatly make an emphasis if you want to achieve an energy-efficient dwelling. You can do this by planting trees and shrubs in strategic locations so that they can provide shade in summer to reduce dependence on air conditioning. This will also allow sunlight to keep your home warm naturally in winter.

Keeping the pool area well-maintained

You need not clean the pool area on a daily basis to ensure it is well-maintained. If you do so, it can only make you feel exhausted that you might leave the important details behind. Therefore, you have to schedule your regular cleaning tasks on a weekly or monthly basis only.

However, you may have to skim the debris off the surface of the water daily to make it look fine. This is the most basic cleaning routine you can do in your pool area. You only have to empty the skimmer basket and sweep the pool deck twice per week. In addition to that, you also have to vacuum the pool floor, test chemical levels, and scrub walls and tiles only once per week.

Deep cleaning can be done once per month to give you time to clean the pool deck with a pressure washer or mild bleach solution. Likewise, you can fully clean or replace the pool filter within this period. You might also want to reassess the chemical balance of the pool, inspect the pool equipment, and organise pool accessories or furniture every three months or so.
