Andre Tyler Iguodala II Bio

Andre Tyler was born in 2007, but his exact date of birth is unclear. The celebrity kid is the firstborn of basketball star Andre Iguodala and his wife, Christina Gutierrez. Andre is the grandson of Leonard Shanklin and Linda Shanklin and nephew of Frank Iguodala. There is no information about Andre’s upbringing, school, or the activities he engages in since his parents prefer to keep the details out of the public eye.

Andre Tyler Iguodala II Siblings

Andre Tyler has a half-sibling, a younger sister named London Iguodala. London was born in 2009 to Andre and his baby mama Clayanna Warthen and is 13 years old as of 2022. London’s mother sued the basketball star for child support. She accused the NBA baller of preventing his daughter from meeting her half-sibling Tyler. It is unclear what the terms of their settlement were.

Andre Tyler Iguodala II Parents

Andre’s parents are childhood sweethearts who attended the same high school in Springfield, Illinois. The lovebirds welcomed their first child in 2007 before marrying. Christina Gutierrez and Iguodala tied the knot in August 2015 at One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. Their son, Tyler, was the best man at their wedding, and he wore a tuxedo similar to his father’s. Christina has kept her details private.

Andre Iguodala was born on 28 January 1984 in Springfield, Illinois, to Linda Shanklin. His father is Nigerian. He attended Lanphier High School in Springfield, a school that produced notable athletes like basketballers Robin Roberts and Kevin Gamble. Iguodala’s older brother, Frank, played for Lake Land College and Dayton. During the summer of 2000, he captured the attention of many national coaches when he was named the AAU national tournament’s Most Valuable Player. He had hit the game-winning shot at the final buzzer, winning his team the 17-and-under national title.

Iguodala began his professional career in 2004 after he was selected 9th overall in the 2004 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for the team until 2012, when he joined the Denver Nuggets. In 2013, Iguodala switched from Denver to Golden State and stayed with the team until 2019. He then joined Miami Heat between 2018 and 2021. He reached six straight finals in 2020 with the team. Iguodala rejoined Golden State in 2021.

He has been the first vice-president of the National Basketball Players Association since February 2019. Previously, he served as vice-president of the association’s executive committee.

Iguodala is a Christian and highly regards faith as something he leans on to give him balance.

Wrapping Up

Iguodala has in the past claimed that he wouldn’t want to see his daughter become a basketballer to save her from the struggles ladies in that field endure, like being lesbians. That goes a long way to show how protective he is of his children.
