The difference between an elite player and an ordinary player is the amount of work and dedication they put in. An elite player, while having a generational talent, puts in some insane work hours to get a certain level of peak athleticism, and it hardly matters if he’s talented or not at the stage that he performs at. It hardly matters if you’re talented or not because if you’re not actively trying to be better at what you’re talented at you’re going to lose the ability of it eventually and people who are talented in a thing or two rarely work hard on their skill to improve because it start they find themselves good at and get comfortable at the place of being good. And as you already know that the moment you get yourself comfortable in a position is the death of your growth.
The success lies in being uncomfortable in your life because it feels miserable to say that I am not good enough at this, and I have to work tremendously hard to beat all these people, but woefully, it is the only way to improve. In this blog, we are going to discuss how you could be better at playing Rainbow Six while doing a little extra on your pre-ranked warmup routine. In this blog, I am going to give you some of the routines that you could follow to be better at Rainbow Six Siege.
Aim routine
So the first thing you have to do is to warm up your aim and sharpen those reflexes. If you consume caffeine, you might take it before jumping into a ranked match or even during your pre-ranked routines. I’m not endorsing the use of caffeine, but if you do consume it, then it is better to do it before playing a ranked match because it does affect the ability to react quicker and more precisely. So, during your aim routine, consume something caffeinated (if you already consume it daily).
After that, jump into the practice range and kill at least 100 bots in different ways. The first way is to just straight up kill them one by one with a shot headshot gun, something like Kali’s CSRX 300 would do the trick. Because here you are trying to be precise, which is what precisely shooting bots one by one would do.
Now, the second thing you have to do is to kill a hundred bots while spraying at them. This will help you immensely in long-range fights or the fights that can get messy. These are also going to help you in clutch situations. So equip any AR of your choice and spray on the bots, and if you can, try to control the recoil and spray transfer from one bot to another, and at least kill three bots within 5 to 7 seconds.
Now, as a tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege does not have much of the flick of the wrist gameplay where you kill a guy who is on the right side of your screen with an instant flick of a sniper because the game is not designed to let you do so. So we are not gonna touch the aim flicking routine in this one.
Play a deathmatch
After practicing your aim, the next best thing you need to do is to perform well on a deathmatch, because while the aim routine does help you out in killing bots and moving your mouse swiftly and reacting quickly, you need to realize that you still are shooting at things which do not shoot back. So if you wanna be better at your ranked match, you have to play at least one or two deathmatches before jumping into a ranked match because it allows you to have an idea about what it would be like in the real match where people shoot back at you.
Generally, a deathmatch is fast-paced as compared to a normal competitive match. Another shortcoming of it is that you can peek at anything and take unnecessary fights without any repercussions. So while the game is good to check your reflexes and aim in a real game scenario, it is less than ideal to practice real match scenarios in it.
Scrims
Last thing i want you to do is to either play a scrim against a competitive yet friendly team or you could also play one unranked match with your team before queuing for a ranked match. Because it will allow you to check on your communication, your aim and your gadgets usage and stuff like that before the real thing and if you fail into an unranked match or if you fail on a scrims then there are not any real consequence instead you’ll get a chance to retract and work on your mistakes rather than losing a match which would cost you and your entire team a derank.
