Plan the learning process and set your priorities

First of all, make a weekly revision plan. We recommend using an agenda to keep track of your classes, activities, hobbies, and especially your study periods. You can upload many apps to your phone or computer, list duties and see how much you have done at the end of the day, and track your productivity. For instance, you start with a plan, e.g., “I need to finish my project with a classmate” or ” I need to write my papers and do the presentation.” Then you write the list of tasks and the deadline. You can set a deadline for yourself because it will help you discipline and do more than you planned. And remember to prioritize the assignments by importance.

Choose an appropriate place and time for studying

Why not choose an environment that is not only conducive to concentration but also pleasant and stimulating? Many libraries and cafés are welcoming and encourage productivity. A cleverly designed home office can also be an excellent choice.

What is the best time of day to study? This is a question that many students ask themselves. This time is different for everyone. However, after a good night’s sleep, the morning is an excellent time to study because when you wake up, your brain is fresh and receives information better. If you are not a morning person, you can reschedule your learning time and do your primary tasks in the afternoon or evening, depending on when you are more productive. Also, different people can be most active on certain days, e.g., Monday or Wednesday. Observe yourself, and plan more activities for days when you are more energetic, and vice versa.

Keep your notes structured and review them regularly

You can buy a beautiful notebook for inspiration, structure your notes by sections, e.g., section “Math” or section “valuable resources,” create mind maps for effective learning, and much more. Simple notations are sometimes dull, so you can add pictures, drawings, tables, etc. Don’t hesitate to use supplies beneficial during study periods, such as post-it notes to write down certain elements, highlighters to make important passages stand out, and colored pencils to help you find your way around. Be creative – there are no restrictions on taking notes, though don’t overdo it because the excessiveness of the material may look unmotivating and distract you from the main point.

Reviewing your notes quickly before and after a class helps you memorize information and facilitates learning. In addition, it saves a lot of time during revision periods.

Take breaks. You are human – not a robot

Regular breaks are recommended to promote recovery and assimilation. It is best to take 15 minutes to rest for every hour of continuous work. Take advantage of this time to go for a walk, get some fresh air, and remember to stay hydrated and eat well.

Study in groups

It is often motivating to study in a group. Study groups can help you better understand specific topics. However, make sure that it is productive.

Combine study with pleasure

Why not combine learning with pleasure? There is nothing like a pleasant atmosphere to motivate you. For example, if you have a book to read for one of your classes, sit in front of your fireplace wrapped in a soft blanket and enjoy a delicious hot drink.

Reward yourself

Finally, give yourself a reward when your goals are achieved. Remember that a destination must be measurable, such as getting a grade of 80% on an exam. All that’s left is to put in the necessary effort during your study periods to reach your goals.

To sum up, you can always go beyond these tips and look for others, try something new and valuable for yourself, and recommend it to others. We hope these tips will benefit you and your study results will be better than ever.
