Tyrese Robert Ruffin had four blows in his head; according to the doctors, the blows were not accidental. Joseph Peterson was charged with the murder of the boy in 2015 and was given a life sentence in South Dakota.

The court found Joseph Paterson to be guilty of the boy’s murder. In his defense, Patterson insisted that he was innocent and that he had tried to save the boy. Patterson blamed the media for portraying him as a monster and kept saying he was innocent.
According to Paterson, the boy choked on a fruit snack, and he tried performing CPR while waiting for help. The ambulance arrived while Patterson was doing the CPR.
During the sentencing, Patterson strongly maintained how he had tried his best to save the boy. Moreover, he insisted that he was innocent and said he was a victim of court injustices. He indicated that nobody would force him to accept that he had taken the boy’s life.
The Parents of Tyrese Robert Ruffin
Ashley Doohen and Adrian Peterson were the parents of Tyrese Robert Ruffin, although Peterson had known the boy was his two months before the boy died. After Adrian Peterson discovered he had a son, he arranged with Asley to meet the boy.
Unfortunately, the day before he died, Peterson was called to be told his son was hospitalized. Although Adrian met Tyrese a day before he died, Adrian had not found a better opportunity to introduce himself as the father.
The attorney defending Patterson also insisted on the same point, indicating that Patterson’s case was like Salem witches. The attorney added that great injustice had been done to the 29-year-old. After the hearing was concluded, Patterson was led out of court and taken to a South Dakota prison to start serving his life sentence. Additionally, Patterson was charged with 25 years on the battery charge, which he would serve simultaneously.
