Football is a sports game that has been luring many sports-minded people. It is a physical sports game with two teams of 11 members or players. These members are trying to maneuver the ball in the opposing team’s goal. The goalkeeper is the only member who can hold the ball.
The youth football training camp teaches football lessons and trains students to become professional players. Football is an exciting sport to play and watch, and anyone can become part of it. If you or one of your family members are interested in joining, taking football lessons and training make it possible. Yet, it can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with it.

Scoring in football
The football game’s goal is simply to outscore the opposing team. Players will score points by getting a goal to the end zone. Scoring is done by throwing and catching the ball. Players run and kick it through the field goal post for the field goal. Each team has the same goal, bringing the ball to score.
Order of play
Football starts with a kickoff with the special teams’ lines on both fields of each team. The team kicks the ball off and plays as the defense, while the receiving team plays an offense. The receiving team will catch the ball at kickoff and run it down the field before being stopped by the kicking team. After the kickoff play, the offensive and defensive lines were on the field for both teams.
Timekeeping basics
Football games have 4 quarters of gameplay, each has 15 minutes. The game lasts about 3 hours with regular stoppages due to:
- timeouts
- breaks between quarters
- pauses in between possessions
Players
Each football team has an offensive and defensive line. There is also a special team’s line that goes out on the field to change possession. Special teams consist of:
- kickoff and kickoff return teams
- punt and punt return teams
- field goal unit
Each line consists of 11 players.
Offensive positions
Players are expected to score points by gaining yards with:
- runs
- throws
- catches
- passes
They block players from the opposing team for the quarterback to make plays.
Offensive line. A line that comprises the following:
- left tackle
- left guard
- center
- right guard
- right tackle
The players on this line start scrimmage at the start of each play.
- Quarterback. The player runs the offense. The center snaps the ball to the quarterback to pass, hands-off, or run the ball.
- Running back. The player takes handoffs from the quarterback running for yardage but makes block and catch plays.
- Fullback. The fullback is the lead blocker player, it runs and blocks the ball. So, it can make plays without being tackled.
- Tight end. The tight-end player can be an offensive lineman or a receiver. It blocks for the quarterback, runs back, and can also receive passes.
- Wide receiver. The wide receivers are catching passes. It blocks players and takes handoffs. Wide receiver is one of the fastest runners on the field.
Defensive positions
The defense is tacking ball carriers who catch the ball and blocking passes. and causes fumbles.
- Defensive line. The defensive line consists of 3-4 players, including:
- two defensive ends
- one or two defensive tackles
- Linebacker. There are 3 or 4 linebackers on the field, including:
- outside
- inside
- middle
- Cornerbacks can be 2 or 4 players, the fastest players on defense and cover wide receivers.
- Safety: These comprise 2 positions on the field:
- strong safety
- free safety
These players are the last line of defense and running support.
